Port Elizabeth Set To Host The PE Think Tank Networking Event

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Port Elizabeth is hosting the PE Think Tank Networking Event. This dinner is to enable growth in the PE ICT ecosystem with the aim of bringing together technology enthusiasts with some industry experts to share knowledge and collaborate on ideas. The ICT space in our country is growing rapidly and platforms such as these promote collaborative problem solving, where individuals work in groups to solve problems.

The event is free of charge, open to the general public with the objective of inclusive growth in developing communities. It is open to anyone with an interest in the Technology-space or Business and also for those who wish to network with like-minded people.

With the industry growing at such an expeditious pace, it is imperative for industry players to keep abreast with the latest trends and the growing markets inorder to survive this competitive industry. Innovation is a pre-requisite these days for those who seek to stay relevant in the ICT environment, social innovation being at its peak.

Guest speakers for the event are people who have a good knowledge about the industry and they will be sharing some of their personal experiences about what they are doing in their cities inorder to foster growth using technology. Founder of Geekulcha, a movement for young geeks, Mixo Ngoveni is part of the line-up, coupled with Nkululeko Mthembu Founder of the Durban Innovation Hub and Nirvesh Sooful CEO of African ideas.

This promises to be an eventful dinner with a lot of knowledge sharing and networking. The event is sponsored by mLab (main sponsors),  African Ideas, Seda Nelson Mandela Bay ICT Incubator (SNII) and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Computing Science Department.
