A lot of people might argue that robots, in the years to come, will soon be taking over jobs from people. I’m one of those who believe that people react to such changes in employment by creating new and even bigger opportunities. We can’t deny that robots can make life a whole lot easier, we just have to find ways to co-exist.

Whether you’re a bachelor or a working mom, we can all admit that sometimes when we get home at the end of a long day, we’re too tired to cook even a small meal. The thought of having two hands making you a delicious meal at the end of a stressful day at work sounds exciting right? Well, now there’s a robot for that!

tim-anderson_2524870bA company in London has launched a prototype called “robo-chef” specially made for your home. Tim Anderson, 2011 Masterchef winner has been involved with the development of this innovative kitchen gadget for the past two years. It’s literally a pair of robotic arms which have been trained by a top chef to ensure that a quality meal is made each time. So, you’re not just having someone else make a meal for you but it’s like having a world-class chef prepare your food.

This machine works by capturing people’s actions when preparing a mean, which it then turns into commands which direct the robot. From quick meals to full dinner meals, the robo-chef has you covered. All you need to do is give the robo-chef instructions and it will do exactly that. It doesn’t just cook but it also chops up all the ingredients and cleans up after cooking.

There are still two years to go before this robot chef will be available in the market as they are still working on making it more solid. The plan is to also give the product a built-in refrigerator and a dishwasher.

This one will definitely be worth the wait!
