I’m constantly in a battle with myself- choosing to conserve my phone’s battery power but at the same time, wanting to keep up-to-date with the latest news on all social media platforms which usually ends up consuming a lot of battery power. Let’s admit it, we’re busy and our smartphones have become the center of our busy schedules, so having your phone die on you while on the go is not an option.
I’m excited to tell you that it doesn’t have to be an option, thanks to Polish electronic development company, TechNovator, who are rewriting the history of charging phones. Picture this: walking into a mall that has a power router and your smartphone starts charging automatically without you having to take it out of your bag. Yes, it is possible! The new XE Wireless Smartphone Charger works exactly like Wi-Fi, making life more convenient for you.
You’re probably wondering how it works. Electric power is transmitted wirelessly between two power transmission coils, operating the same way as a mobile data connection would. The product lets you charge your phone up to 17 feet from the power router. However, the more you move, the slower the connection becomes. The base station automatically begins charging your phone immediately after detecting the case, the smartphone case acts as a receiver.
The company will be offering cases to all iPhone 6 and 6 plus users when the product launches on Kickstarter in November. You will also be able to download the XE app, which will act as your guide in determining which XE you connect to should there be more than one. The app will also let you choose the specific times that you want the phone to start charging.
It doesn’t take a genius to know that this product will do well in the market. A wireless smartphone charger that works like Wi-Fi? It doesn’t get better than this, but then again, this is technology and anything is possible.
