South Africa to host Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network Summit for the first time

Dell 2I did say that 2016 is looking bright for the rainbow nation, and this is more proof that the upcoming year will be filled with awesome opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs looking for new ventures.  For the very first time, Dell is bringing its exclusive Women’s Entrepreneur Network Summit to the South African soil.

The seventh-annual conference, to be held from 27 to 28 June 2016 in Cape Town, will bring together 150 of the top female entrepreneurs, business leaders, media and Dell partners.  Themed “innovating for a future-ready world”, the invitation-only conference aims to help entrepreneurs of the future to create lasting value and impact.

“The role women play in driving the global economy is becoming more and more foundational to the health and well-being of our world.  Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network is all about fostering relationships and providing gateways to the resources women founders need to succeed.  There’s no better place than South Africa, a burgeoning centre of entrepreneurship, to have these important conversations,” explained Karen Quintos, Chief Marketing Officer at Dell.

According to Dell, the conference aims to provide young women a platform for receiving inspiration and tools to create prosperity, stability and opportunity in every country around the globe.  The summit will include workshops, pitches and networking opportunities.

Dell is also expected to reveal the findings of the 2016 Women Entrepreneur Leaders Index, an annual global study used to measure high-potential female entrepreneurship based on individual aspirations, business environments and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

It is no doubt that South African women are making waves in entrepreneurship, building empires and shifting perceptions.  It is inspiring to see such initiatives being brought to our doorsteps, in recognition of those same women.  We’re innovating our way to 2016!
