Mrs South Africa Candice Abrahams walks away with the Mrs World title


It seems South Africans just keep breaking international ground, Mrs South Africa Candice Abrahams was crowned Mrs World, a coveted title that features married women from 45 other countries who strut it out and compete for this grand title.

Wife to Metro FM DJ Ishmail Abrahams, Candice’s beauty and flawless physique mesmerized the audience when she came out during the national costume category in an Anel Botha gown. The 27th installment of the Mrs World pageant took place on the 12th of March in China, and Candice made her country proud as she showed immense talent, beauty and poise that eventually saw her walk away with the title, making her the first South African to win the Mrs World title.

Candice’s gown was complemented by a grandiose headpiece by Riana Conradie, this completed her look which became the audience’s favourite from the onset.

In a statement released , the new Mrs World who returns home on Tuesday said, “What an honour to be able to bring the Mrs World crown home to South Africa. It has always been a dream of mine to win Mrs South Africa and to represent my country on the international stage; to be bringing home the title is just the cherry on top of my achievements over the last year.”

It seems it came as no surprise to the team who were working with her in preparation for the competition as they expressed that they worked extremely hard for this from the time she won Mrs South Africa in October last year.

CEO of Mrs South Africa Joani Johnson said, “We are beyond excited that Candice has taken this esteemed title, it is something that we have been working towards since she was crowned in October last year. We always believed that Candice would bring the title home and it is an overwhelming moment for the entire team that Candice has achieved her international goal.”
