Imagine getting paid for allowing ads to be displayed as you receive calls? We already have to deal with ads popping up of everywhere as we surf the net, why not make money out of it? For Nigerians, this is already a reality- thanks to SiDon Media who founded MyAds, an app that allows users to get rewarded for allowing targeted ads display on their phones during incoming calls.
Users can give permission to generate adverts on their phone during a phone call which then allows them to earn points, users can earn up to N15 per call. The app is available for download on Google Play, on the four major telecoms companies in Nigeria including Airtel, MTN, Etisalat and Glo.
On the app, users will be required to register with their cell-phone numbers in order to start earning points which can then be converted to airtime.
It’s a win-win!
According to the company, both advertisers and users get rewarded. “With our targeted advertising, advertisers can create and profile ads to meet their chosen demographics: age, gender, location etc. Analytics that allows you monitor your ads impressions and measure conversions,” the company adds.
“For every call received and ads shown, users of MyAds will earn points. Points are converted to different rewards, ranging from airtime/talk time to coupons and discount deals. MyAds has an array of reward partners worldwide.”
MyAds currently has over 200 advertisers signed up and it has expanded its services to India, with plans to launch in more countries outside and across Africa.
