New Logo for Nunnovation
Centurion, South Africa: Nunnovation Africa Foundation, an NPC focusing on innovation in Africa, is proud to announce the launch of the new logo as part of the ongoing evolution of NAF’s brand.
After two years of operation, we saw the timing perfect to evaluate our company’s brand to ensure it is always in sync with who we are, what we stand for and where we are going. With careful consideration, we chose a new logo that represents our African ownership in a modern manner.
Of the organisation’s recent changes, Nunnovation’s Executive Chairperson Khathu Mashau said, “The new logo is an indication of the refreshed understanding of what we’re doing, particularly the growth and innovation in Africa. There is more flexibility and motivation in what we’re doing, as we shift from suffice led missions to a more broad based mission for thorough reading.”
Nunnovation’s CEO, Ngwako Ramohlale shared similar views saying, “We love the new logo, it is modern and well thought through. The red hues symbolises the heart of innovation in this organisation. We are really passionate about innovation and through these transformations we aim to add more depth to the mission of developing Africa.”
To achieve the look of our new logo, the following design aspects were included:
• The icon is still prominently red in colour like our previous logo which symbolises the intensity of the energy and passion we have for this specific niche – innovation
• The icon includes a paper folding effect which depicts the ever-changing and innovative developments in Africa that we’re proud to showcase to you.
Other than the new logo and new look, Nunnovation has gone through various transformations like the new aesthetically pleasing offices situated in Centurion, South Africa and the expansion of the team. Although emphasis is put on the “nu” Nunnovation, the existing principles and vision remain intact – educating and empowering the youth, women and disadvantaged groups through innovation centric projects and programmes to drive Africa’s developing agenda. These transformations were motivated by the celebration of our successes.
We have reached several milestones in the past couple of years which we are proud of. Our omnipresence has helped our work reach 92 countries worldwide, reaching an audience of 100 000 on social media with over 2 500 individuals and 30 000 page views daily as well as a growth rate of 74% on returning visitors. Our magazine has strong links with regional media houses such as SABC Newsroom, Capricorn FM, SABC 1’s Shift, Phalaphala FM and other Radio Stations nationwide.
Through some of our innovation intervention programme’s Nunnovation has also empowered hundreds of unemployed youth who now play significant roles in boosting our economy with a project called COJEDI. We have successfully established programmes such as the #WeInnovate which have reached over 600 000 people who attended and through social and broadcast media. Reaching all these milestones in just over two years makes us confidently believe that there’s plenty more to come! Having also run a successful Coding Camp for township learners with Telkom, we look forward to executing more impactful and life changing projects in Africa.
